Gili Islands, Indonesia

Our design for a small hotel complex on the tropical island consists of several wooden cubes arranged around a central pool.

The structures are raised on plints and connected by an inward sloping roof.

Each unit contain a bedroom, a bathroom and an outdoor space . The outdoor area serves both as an entrance point from the outside and a dining space.

The building is generic in both shape and material. The entire building is clad in a  lattice structure made from locally harvested wood.

The pool is reached directly from each unit.
